I consider it deeply unjust that I should get a sunburn while shovelling snow.

Does anyone have an online savings bank that they're happy with? I'm having a spat with ING direct. I've used them for years and years. I've been putting up with their website not supporting Chrome, but they just changed the rules for the password, so naturally I don't have the faintest idea what I changed it to, and then they expected me to know what state my social security card was issued to get it reset, only 1 guess. How am I supposed to know at what age social security numbers were issued in the late 70's?

I've never been able to get into TV cooking shows, but Christopher Kimball's new radio show is really good.

Remind me again why the problem is dangerous use of metaphor, and not concealable semi-automatic weapons available over the counter?

Someone in the office is crying. I don't know them. I don't think there's anything helpful I can do. I believe I heard her crying last week, as well.

Finally finished watching the pacifist, racist, white supremacist Birth of a Nation, and then watched the Foyle's war the White Feather, which portrays pacifism as more than just objectively fascist. I want there to be a ideologically consistent, reputable, moral pacifism, that isn't tainted by collaboration, reaction and counterrevolution, but it's rather hard to find early 20th century examples. It worries me that I basically support every revolution except the next one. I want to split the pacifist first half of Birth of a Nation away from the counterrevolutionary second, but the truth is that it's a single piece.

I love the future. There is a youtube video showing, for my particular laptop keyboard, how to put the keys back on. Interestingly, it isn't the laptop manufacturer who did it. It's a part manufacturer, that wants to sell me replacement keys.

Gaston, the bruiser of the litter, has now been adopted. The rest are all reserved and will be gone as soon as we fatten them up a bit more so they can be sterilized. _respond? (1)

Last Chance Harvey is no better than it should be, but if you like that sort of thing at all, it's very good. It's the sort of film that relies entirely on the charm of it's leads. It had been on my list for no other reason than it was Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman, and there was no other reason to see it, but that was enough. The other notable thing about it is how it very efficiently expresses character through hairstyles.
