I'm pretty sure I would have seen Avatar by now if it weren't for 'You're not in Kansas anymore, you're on Pandora'. What worries me is that's the line they chose to feature in the trailer. It suggests that they're proud of it.

I have an appointment with an orthopede. My current diagnosis from my doctor is Chondromalacia Patella, but I am not confident in it. I'm leaning more towards Patellar Tendinitis, it fits better, both with how I injured it and when it hurts. I like the internet. I do not, on the other hand, like my knee. I badly do not want surgery. What I want is someone to tell me what I can do, what I should avoid, and so on. I think it's worse than it was in the fall: at this point I'm pretty much constantly aware of it.

The internet should have a multiple choice quiz that takes you through all the Christian schisms and heresies in chronological order, and tells you what heresy or sect you are. It would get complicated, though, because it wouldn't be a simple tree. (I fell into the wikipedia hole reading about Coptic Christians and the Council of Chalcedon) Tracking the dodgings and weavings of dogma through the history of the early church would be rough.

My Sansa Clip+ takes the same USB/power adapter as my blackberry. Hurrah for gradual standardization! Death to proprietary plugs! I am very pleased with it so far: particularly the dedicated buttons for power and volume. I realize that these aren't great innovations, but wow they're useful things. I think it'll be much, much better for cycling than my late lamented nano. I got pretty good at moving the little lock slider on the top with my teeth, but I'm just as happy not to. Only downside so far is that something on the bus creates FM interference. The monochrome display also makes me happy for no apparent reason.
