9 inches of snow this weekend. Fine powdery stuff, no good for snowballs. I have barbecued and been sledding, on the same day. On the way back an older woman asked us where we'd been coasting. I'd never heard coasting used before. Is it regional, or just old fashioned?

Having just learned of it's existence a few days ago, we are attempting to make bean pie. It is in the oven. The basic idea seems to be to mask the bean flavor with heroic quantities of vanilla.

A remix of 'That's Not My Name'. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I'm not fond of people taking it upon themselves to rename me. St. Christopher's Travelling Blues. Not sure why I like this one. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the hammond organ. As far as I can tell, St. Christopher hasn't been decanonized, they just took his feast day because he's so clearly imaginary. I can see how 18 foot tall saints who provided ferry service might be embarrassing to the church. One thing I like about thesixtyone is that it's structured for finding songs, not artists. There are very few albums where I like all the songs, let alone artists. The fan model of music appreciation is flawed. So having it set up where you find listeners to follow is sensible.
In general, there appears to be an oversupply of blasphemy around these days.

I have formed a worryingly strong emotional attachment to the roomba, considering it's only been out of it's box for a few hours. Somehow I didn't expect it to be adorable. It's just so persistent and cheerful! I expect things that vacuum to be grumpy.
