The song I sing to myself:
Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit, you are my favorite rabbit.
You are the prettiest rabbit that I have ever seen.

I like how on some Mtn. Goats songs John Darnielle's voice sounds like he's about to totally freak out. ("Song for the Julian Calendar" is one.)

Today on BART (which I rode through downtown because I was all weak an shit) I saw a man who looked like an Asian Philip Seymour Hoffman. (Specifically like the character PSH plays in Happiness, which I have only seen the latter half of. Melissa was watching it and I joined in at the beating off to a copy of Teen Beat scene. Twitch.)

Sumana rocks and, as if to prove it(did that sound like Tolstoy? I swear I haven't read anything by him for two years), she wrote this article about the current Star Trek series. (Because it is posted on Salon you will have to do the hokey-pokey and watch something about one of their sponsors.)
She also commented, "If you don't have anything to be enthusiastic about then you're dead inside." Which is frightening.
In largely unrelated Sumana news, on the night of her party she got her boyfriend to perform the ten-second song he wrote about calling her at Salon Premium. He also played a "Daypass Remix" version, which is interrupted in the middle by a Lexus ad.

Yesterday I had ten hours of sleep and ate a lot of food. (There was some spaghetti with fried basil leaves, spring rolls, odwalla "c monster", and, um, lessee -- a quesadilla, possibly two, and, um, coffee. Always coffee.) Today I had six hours of sleep and have eaten a banana and some day-old french fries. (And coffee.)

And then I went to Sumana's party, which was lovely. Apparently she promised me a globe the last time I was there. I had completely forgotten this and was delighted to receive it. A secondary gift -- I later had the chance to say, "Oh no! I smashed the Himalayas!" when I dropped it.

The other day I heard the opening part of "Gravity Rides Everything" used in a car ad. So yeah, I hope they all have retirement funds.
It made me wonder about the person who hears that song and thinks, "Hey, that would be a great way to sell shit."

One of the many excellent things about Sumana is that when she invites you to a party, she closes the email with, "It will be nice to see you."

Gracious heavens, I just thought of the farthest frontier of product placement (thanks to these comments on Cassie's blog) -- phone sex.
"So, uh, what are you wearing?"
"A JLo miniskirt, Juicy Couture tank top, and tall tall Jimmy Choo heels. Baby."
I bet there are some people who would actually be more turned on by brand checking. Probably not a group that overlaps with phone sex users.

glossomania: yeah yeah yeah
glossomania: like if her serious shit involves a deep need to drink SoCo with you and make out, that would be cool, right? but otherwise, nope?
"caligula": soco yes. psychodrama no.
