Hey all you Seattleites out there, my sister is applying to Cornish College of the Arts, and will need to find her own housing if she gets in. Can anyone tell me which neighborhoods are good and which ones she should avoid? Any hints on finding a place are welcome. I know about craigslist, but that's it. _

Tired of giving friends and loved ones unique, thoughtful gifts? Ever wish you could just find a generic gift outlet? Well look no further! Your dreams are realized at www.genericgifts.com!

But don't just take my word for it. Take a look at some real generic testimony from real generic customers!

Says Agnes Hunter of Baltimore, "All the work of choosing a present that will please my loved ones is a snap now that I've found genericgifts.com. They all loved their generic designer pillar candles at Christmas and I'm sure they will love their generic American flag candles on the fourth of July, too. Burthdays are no problem either now that I can press a button to select a generic vase. Genericgifts.com is a winner in my book!"

And Tom Barlow of Chicago Falls adds, "Genericgifts.com saved me hours of thoughtful decision making time. Now I watch TV and surf porn sites instead of shopping for holiday gifts in town. Why go to all that fuss when you can just click on a generic gift and be done with it?"

You heard it here first, folks. Don't think, buy generic! _

Today's interview went well enough that I get to go to a longer interview tomorrow. If that one goes well, I'll get called back for a third even longer interview where I will have to role-play selling stuff over the phone. Here's hoping. _

So apparently this is just my week for job prospects. I still have the first interview I wrote about coming up on Monday, but since I posted that I have had three other people show interest including the coffee shop in town where I interviewed today (and I applied there in late November). Each potential job has its benefits and drawbacks (though I don't think any of them offer actual benefits like health insurance), but it really looks like I might be gainfully employed soon! _

I didn't do everything I wanted to do today, but I did:

*Mail out five blogswap discs.

*Buy fresh produce and tofu to strir fry for dinner. (Because sometimes you really just need some teriyaki tofu, even if you aren't vegan).

*Send out three resumes with personalized cover letters.

*Take back the DVDs on time and rent two new ones.

*Respond to almost all of the e-mail that I needed to respond to.

*Take two thirty minute walks.

* Find a copy of Stephen King's On Writing for one dollar.

Okay so that's all, but isn't that a lot? On the agenda for tomorrow: Take out the trash, wash the dishes, clean the bathroom, call two prospective job leads. My life is so thrilling. _

Round robin stories tonight are not going to happen. I am a zombie and only crave BRAAAIIINS, er, that is to say I'm tired and need sleep. Next monday night it will definitely happen, though. And if you kids want to do them without me tonight, please do. You know how it's done.

Tonight's Round Robin Storytelling Social Yielded seven delectable stories. I think My favorite was Katherine's, though all of them are incredibly yummy. I just love the idea of Transcendental Ice Cream (And wouldn't that be a great band name?). I only wish Moira and Liz hadn't had AIM troubles and been forced to back out. Still, there will definitely have to be a next time! _
