I heard "Blitzkrieg Bop" used in an ad on the radio the other day. A cell phone ad. And something inside of me died.

But the real question is whether it’s a struct with a certain set of well-defined elements, or an arbitrarily expandable one. I’ve come to think that it’s not arbitrarily expandable, or at least, that it probably shouldn’t be. Simplicity above all.

Sign that blogs are getting big: there are more St. John's-related blogs than I can keep track of. So yeah, that sidebar really isn't going for comprehensiveness in that sense anymore.

Okay, I’ve made bloglet support Textile formatting. This makes it rather easier to do some basic markup, like italics and links
For now I’ve only installed it on my blog, ‘cause it involved some changes to the internals of the web interface, and I want to make sure nothing’s horribly broken. At some point relatively soon, though, you should get a checkbox for it at the bottom of your entry form.
Any questions?

Okay, this is a fairly gross hack, but I think it’ll do the trick.
The problem is that textile puts paragraph tags around paragraphs (I know, this doesn’t seem like it should be a problem, does it?). In doing so, it of course adds a clean paragraph tag before my first paragraph, in the process losing the class=“first” that I’d applied to it, which I was using with CSS to prevent the indentation of the first paragraph.
I’ve gotten around this by making weblet add a class=“first” to the first paragraph tag it finds when it processes the entry with Textile. Crude, but effective.

Will this get around the loss of my paragraph class=first hack?
It feels kinda gross to do it this way, but I suppose the bloglet codebase can allow some warts.

This is a test. This time there should be proper Textile formatting. The fact that I’ve left the convert line breaks box checked should not interfere with it.

BLTadv users: teasmoke.net wasn't generating its feed correctly for some reason, so teasmoke.net activity wasn't appearing since, I think, some time last night (not sure when exactly). I've hastily patched something together that has it more or less working for now, Kerne'll likely do something more comprehensive when he gets the chance. In the mean time, if BLTadv exhibits any fuckedness, it's likely 'cause of my meddling.
