I am getting books on CD out of my library, and ripping them to MP3s, for my upcoming trip to Ohio.Unfortunately, the library largely has books on tape, so I grabbed the like three books that looked remotely intersting on CD, and then accidentally took The Thirteen Clocks on tape. I have Big Trouble (Dave Barry), Pure Drivel (Steve Martin) and Two Plays for Voices (Neil Gaiman). This probably won't get me to Ohio and back.

I am in love with my new CD player, by the way. It does everything I wanted (in that it plays regular CDs and MP3 CDs) and it does cool other stuff, like I can put the MP3s in folders, and I can sort through the folders, and it displays their names. And I can sort through it by name. And when I turn it on, the screen is all blue and it says "Welcome" and then when I turn it off it says "Good Bye." It's the coolest thing in the world.

It took me half a CD to get home from work, when it usually takes me two and a half songs.(Do you know how many times I've listened to "Oh What a World" by Rufus Wainwright because I sit down in the car, hit play, get to work, and my CD player didn't resume.)

Today, for going in and buying coffee for my mom, I got this thing that's like a coffe tea sampler, where I say what kind of coffee or tea I bought, and how much, and any comments, and when I have five, I write down my favourite, and they will give me free of my favourite. And I also got a free day at some local spa-health club, cause they happen to be selling the coffee from this place. I think it's all very cool.

Yesterday, it snowed. It didn't stick, and probably wasn't actually all that hard. But it was so exciting, and was definately harder than flurries. I was so excited. Nattie sat on the back of the couch and stared intently out the window while it was snowing.

This is my last free weekend in ages and ages. I don't have to work except on Friday, and this makes me extremely happy. Next weekend I go to Brian's wedding, and the weekend after that, I go to my dad's house for Christmas. Something like two days after we get home from Dad's, those of us who live here are going to Florida, cause my brother is in a soccer tournament, and my parents thought it would be a nice Christmas present for us all to go down to Florida.

I went into Radio Shack last night to complain about the way my portable CD player doesn't play MP3 CDs when they said it would when they sold it to me, and I said that I'd lost the receipt. And they were really nice, and said that if I just came in with all the accessories they could give me my money back or give me a new one of the same model, or a different model. I thought they were awesome, especially as I had been expecting them to be jerks about it.
