You should invite Death to dinner. Why? She's cool, mellow, fun to talk to, and she'll teach you a thing or two about life. Remember though, she is Death, so if she shows up uninvited....well, it was nice knowing you.
I spent most of my summer while I was at home listening alternately to the MP3s of Rufus Wainwright my brother had downloaded and one of my Heather Nova CDs. I like Mr. Wainwright. And his version of "Hallelujah" might be my favourite of the ones I've downloaded so far, but Jeff Buckley is growing on me.

What I want, ideally, for a job is to help kids find books in a bookstore. I want to be the person who wanders around the children's books section and asks people if they need any help finding anything.
If I found that I could do this during the day, I would be perfectly happy to wait tables somewhere expensive at night so I could actually make some money.

Last night I watched Saturday Night Live, and was all surprised when the musical guest was Billy Corgan with his new band. I had been vaguely aware that he had a new band, but had no idea what their name was, so when they announced that the musical guest would be Zwan, I sort of planned to go off to brush my teeth and put on my pajamas and whatnot, but sat there and stared, and said "hmm...he looks like Billy Corgan. He sounds like Billy Corgan...Connor! Is this Billy Corgan?" Connor, who was downstairs, called up "The Smashing Pumpkins broke up." Then listened, and said, that yes, it was.

I started reading The Colour of Magic for the first time ever. I don't think I'm particularly fond of it, and I wonder if I would've continued reading Discworld novels if it had been the first one I read. I'm very glad I read Mort and Soul Music first.
