In the conversation with my stepbrother Zeb, who is just now home from Edinburgh, where he was a bartender, "I'll make you a Black Forest martini, it tastes just like Black Forest cake. ((insert description of all the various zillions of things that you add to make this particular drink))" "Wow, that sounds really good," says I. "Yes," says he, "but just a sip for you." "Hey, I'm older than you are." "Are not!" "Am so!" "Well...I'm faster." "Fair enough. And you can probably hold your liquor better than I, but I can still drink a whole martini." And so then we discussed going to a bar and getting martinis. "We'll take Connor, he can drive. He can sit in the car. But, no, Ben Torres will meet him at the bar..." "Why is Ben Torres at the bar?" "Because he's meeting Connor, keep up with the conversation." "You know," I said, "in America they don't let people Connor's age into bars. This isn't Europe. They card you at the door, often enough. I was walking back to my room after giving up on Mabel, and looked up at the sky. It was so pretty. For a moment I thought the moon was racing across the sky, but then it occurred to me that it was the clouds that were racinga cross the sky. _
