Back to standard time, which is actually further from local time than DST. Local noon today was at 11:27:44. After we abolish the penny, I'm going to start in on time zone reform.

Edit: wait, Noon moves, like, a non-trivial amount. Boston noon on Feb 12th is at 11:58:28. I may not have a case here. Here's an explanation of why noon moves. It turns out that the earliest noon of the year is... tomorrow. The earliest sunset is 4:12, from 12/1 to 12/15, not at the solstice at all. _
