A Man with a Van successfully moved our absurdly heavy washer out of the basement of the old place, and down a flight of stairs no wider than the washer itself. We are now Fully Moved, pending Bicycles and Things In Moss and Julia's Apartment.

Trying Zyrtec. Not sure if it's helping or not. I mean, it's certainly not as debilitating as benedryl, but I'm not symptom free here. It's very hard to tell between wishful thinking and a gradual improvement in symptoms, particularly as I'm not sure what I'm allergic to, whether I have a virus to go along with it, etc.

HP appears to be trying to completely destroy EDS, which they bought last year. First a 5% pay cut, and then, a month later, a temporary 10% pay cut, at a time when the government is trying as hard as it can to spend money on healthcare IT. I believe in capitalism much the way I believe in democracy. Just because I believe in it, doesn't mean I think the people in charge are even marginally competent.

The stuff is very nearly all out of the old house and in the new house. It isn't exactly arranged in usable fashion, but it's here. and tomorrow I go back to work. We did forget one small horrible cabinety thing, which would pontentially be of use, but it will fit in the car. There is also a fair amount of random stuff hanging around. I need to either empty the car by tomorrow morning, or take the bus. (working from home isn't an option in the current state of furniture)

Verizon FIOS has been generally spectacularly reliable, but it does lose it's DNS server occasionally. I just switched the router to OpenDNS, and have high hopes for it.
