Slate V (for video) is for the most part utterly misconceived, but these Alex Chadwick 50c interviews are tremendous. He's apparently been doing it for years. He sets up a table, puts up a sign, interviews, 50c, and unrolls great big hungry silences in front of passers-by. All 3 so far are bizarrely moving.

reasons not to eat cheese puffs: The cat will want to lick the residue off your fingers as you are typing, and it tickles something fierce.
There are probably other reasons too.

Okay, so, with this song quiz thing. At least for me, putting the list together was a kind of vanity, which was sort of unpleasant, and beyond that, there's a section of the music I listen to which just isn't part of shared experience, which kind of defeats the purpose. So I thought I'd try again, with stuff I heard off the radio in the past two days, that I enjoyed on one level or another. These are all things that, if I wouldn't have gotten, would at least have really bugged me. Is this more or less pointless than the previous quiz?
1: Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon?
2: Nation's stand against him, he's your brother
3: They're only checks I've left unsigned from the banks of chaos in my mind
4: That's like hypnotising chickens
5: Did you really think about it before you changed the rules?
6: have a limo, ride in the back. I lock the doors in case I'm attacked
7: Hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride
8: The kind you don't bring home to mother
9: Blown by the wind. Blown by the wind
10: That I can't get by with my 9 to 5
11: it's the same old deed since 1916
12: With a bit of rock music everything is fine
(also: I like this station)
