Also: tomorrow is the special democratic primary in town for state senate. I'll be voting for Jim Marzilli. He's picked up the Globe endorsement, he's pro-marriage, pro-windmill, anti-casino, and in the house co-sponsored the National Popular Vote bill.

The director of Devdas, which is certainly the best Indian film I've ever seen, has made a version of Dostoevsky's White Nights, called Saawariya. Reviews seem to be mixed, but it's playing at the Capitol. I'll report back tomorrow.

That pretty much sums it up. Bring people together, or keep pushing them apart. I don't see the problem with our politics being a lack of belligerence. _

So the completely demolished car I saw cycling home on Mass Ave on tuesday was this, somebody fleeing the Winchester police, in a somebody else's car, died, turning too fast on a wet road. The car was bent in half. Not nice.
