The New Harry Potter Trailer is out. It looks pretty yummy from the little bit they show (you get to see Snape dressed as Neville's grandmother!). I really don't like the MacBeth Witches' verse being sung like that, though.

*Do a speed write with Kyaa. Get to 20k. 20,062!
*See about maybe taking a bath. If the water is hot enough. And now presenting the newest edition of Julia, in nearly godlike form!
*Do the dishes. Julia presents the dishes, in nearly godlike form!
*Take the trash out.
*Figure out the right size of turkey to order. Ten pounds should do nicely.
*Go to Anstead's and order a turkey. And with my ten dollar payment, it's GUARANTEED (but wait, there's more, you also get the turkey shaver and electrodeluxe stuffmaster for only $59.95!)
*Do another speedwrite. Get to 21k. 21,190! And it isn't even noon yet. I have to go back now and work on the rest of the list.
*Order plane tickets.
*Read a bit of the Natalie Goldberg book.
*Get to 22k. 22,028! And it's still before three! Now I should really get dressed and take the trash out and find out about that turkey...

*Take a nice hot bath. You know, I really hate it when there isn't enough hot water to take an actually hot bath. Grar on being colder upon leaving the bath than I was when I entered it. Why must you be so arbitrary, O water heater?
*Wash dishes. Part one. There are too many dishes to do at once. Must do the rest after the others are dry.
*Try calling Cait. It worked! She was home! She told me that person who does not get word count up must be sent to potato patch to dig, Dig, DIG!
*Put a load of laundry in to wash. And there wasn't even religious propaganda on the machine today.
*Write for one half hour. 790 words!
*Switch Laundry to dryer. And saw three of the complex's feline residents!
*Write for one hour. Myarr, couldn't focus terribly well, but got a good 8 hundred words in. Current word count: 17,367.
*Fetch and fold laundry. Mmm, clean clothes! I need a break from writing, though. So I think I'll do the second part of the dishes now.
*Write for 45 minutes
*Watch a movie or episode of Buffy in Spanish for practice.
*If there is time, write more before Moss gets home.
*Have leisurely dinner.
*If necessary, write more until minimum word count of 2k is reached for the day.
*Get to bed early.

I have written 300 words so far today. This is not a lot. I am forced by extenuating circumstances to flee from the computer now, though. I'll be back tonight and then I will write and write and write until I get to an acceptable place in this mess. In the meantime, Im just going to not worry about it. I know I'll get it done, and worrying won't help.

I just looked through the latest issue of The College and saw the designs for the new dorms in Annapolis. According to the article, "Baltimore architectural firm Ziger/Snead has designed the brick buildings to reflect both the modern features of Mellon Hall and the colonial buildings on campus." Why would ANYONE think it was a good idea to make things look like Mellon Hall? I am very sad.

At dinner tonight we overheard a family discussing Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Said the youngest member, a boy of about nine or ten, "Well, is he in Texas, and does he have a chainsaw?" This kid clearly knows what the important questions are.
Later in the conversation, when they were discussing Stephen King's Misery, the teenage girl said, "I'm sorry, but I live in a society where things that scared you guys [her parents] don't scare people now."
